And, by the sounds of it, Mr Simm wouldn't be opposed to reprising the role.
The actor was asked recently on Twitter whether he would return as the Master in Doctor Who, and responded: "Of course! Mr Moffat is a brilliant writer."
And he also had a message for Twitter abusers who weren’t so keen on his portrayal: "For those grown ups ANGRY about how the Master was written/portrayed… please don’t tell me, tell someone who gives a f**k. Therapist!? … or (to avoid confusion) perhaps a psychiatrist? That’s cleared that up!"
'Nuff said, really.
For what it's worth, we would love to see Simm return. If you're listening, Steven Moffat, please make this happen. Pretty please?

It would be nice to see Simm back as the master - possibly after he maybe totally defeated the Time Lords and escaped - it would be nice to see any of the previous Doctors' foes (aside from the Daleks and Cybermen) show up (no - "The Pandorica" doesn't count - I guess the Weeping Angels sort of count - but we didn't really see The Doctor dealing with the angels directly in "Blink" - and maybe you can count the Autons) - I'd love to see Captain Jack back - maybe bring the Slithene back (I know they'd been in the Sarah Jane Adventires - but hey - why not being thm back?) - point is that I'd like to see the 11th interact with characters seen in 9th and 10th stories - maybe even a former companion or 2.
